"In May 2019 I was blessed with the most amazing daughter anyone could want and I was filled with joy but after finding out that she was diagnosed with a rare, gene-linked brain malformation called Lissencephaly my heart sank.
Being a single parent of two kids is a lot of work normally but now there are challenges I face daily that I never expected. Things have gotten even more difficult for me since COVID 19 pandemic as I am no longer working and need to depend on family and strangers to survive but the love for my kids keeps me going.
In June 2021 Kaamyiah's doctor gave me Nirala's contact to get support. When I called Nirala and explained my situation about my daughter she told me about her daughter Peyton and the Peyton's Light Foundation. Nirala began encouraging me to get as much therapy and medical care for Kaamyiah as early as possible.
I am especially grateful for the DONATION made by the Peyton's Light Foundation for Kaamyiah to get CUEVAS MEDEK EXERCISE:- CME therapy sessions at CARIBBEAN KIDS AND FAMILY THERAPY ORGANISATION CKFTO.
I have never met a person so willing to assist me with my needs for Kaamyiah. Nirala thank you for been so open to listen to me, leading me down the right part, giving me words of advice and recommending some places to approach for help. Even though my challenges are here at least I now have the support I need to help me.
